JOURNAL HISTORY

Nigerian Psychological Research (NPR) ISSN 2635-3806 (Online); ISSN 2408-5405(Print) was first published in 2015 by the Nigerian Psychological Association (NPA). Their aim was to establish an open-access, peer-reviewed outlet for general psychology which would engage academics, professionals and graduate students in a constructive dialogue and offer readers interested in psychology free access to high quality, scientific information in all areas of the discipline (in contrast to a general trend of increasing specialisation of journals nowadays). The journal has always been in print form, till now that its online. The Journal was previously published annually in September, however, its policy has changed to be published quarterly. It is intended to disseminate original scientific work in all fields of psychology, such as such as developmental, school and educational psychology; social psychology; organizational psychology; behavioral psychology; clinical psychology; health psychology; cognitive psychology; neuropsychology; psychological assessment; experimental psychology; theory and history of psychology. Authors can present empirical, historical, theoretical and conceptual studies, as well as reviews of literature. Authors are required to pay a fee to publish in Nigerian Psychological Research because we publish with Open Access unless – in some cases where the author has a 100% waiver.
